The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Vice-President Amirali Nasir had the privilege of representing the Law Society at a workshop on “Independence – A Guarantee for the Rule of Law” jointly organised by the German Federal Bar, Malaysian Bar and Konrad-Adenauer Foundation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 8 September 2023. He was joined by esteemed bar leaders from various jurisdictions including Germany, Malaysia, Taiwan, India and Sri Lanka to discuss the significance of judicial independence as well as the importance of an independent self-regulated legal profession in ensuring the rule of law.
