The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

At the invitation of the Paris Bar, Vice-President Amirali Nasir attended the Opening of the Legal Year 2022 in Paris, France from 23 to 25 November 2022 representing the Law Society. Apart from further discussion with the UIA President on the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two professional organisations, Mr Nasir also took the opportunity to provide an update on Hong Kong’s legal system and services, its latest development and the Law Society’s work in the international legal arena to the bar leaders from around the world including Algeria, France, Germany, Palestine, Peru, Spain and the United Kingdom.
