The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

The 24th International Institute of Law Association Chief Executives (“IILACE”) Annual Conference was held from 25 to 28 October 2022 in Washington, D.C., United States. As the incumbent President of IILACE representing the Law Society, Secretary General Heidi Chu physically attended the conference and gave the opening remarks. She also chaired the AGM of IILACE, and moderated a session entitled “Staying Ahead of Change” in which panellists and participants exchanged their practical experiences on how they anticipate change and lead their organisations’ decision-making process in preparation for the pending shifts.
