Over the years, the Law Society devotes much effort to groom young members by creating international exchange opportunities to maintain continuous professional development and to establish international connections. To establish a closer working relationship between the Law Society and the International Association of Young Lawyers (“AIJA”), as well as creating more opportunities for professional exchanges among young members, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Law Society and the AIJA in May 2019.

Ms Louise Wong, member of the Standing Committee on External Affairs, participated in the 60th AIJA Congress in Singapore on behalf of the Law Society from 22 to 27 August 2022. Under the theme “The Future of the Legal Profession: Reunite and Embrace the Change”, the Congress discussed the transformation of the legal framework in different aspects and the new normality brought by the COVID-19.

The Organising Committee welcomed all the participants at the Opening Ceremony.

Representing the Law Society, Ms Louise Wong attended the AIJA’s First Collective Members Forum.

AIJA announced new appointments in the different committees and commissions of the association at the General Assembly.
