The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

To mark the opening of the Legal Year 2022 in Malaysia, a Virtual Bar Leaders Forum themed “The Future of the Legal Profession: Sailing into Cyberspace” was organised by the Malaysian Bar on 13 January 2022.
On behalf of the Law Society, President C. M. Chan exchanged views and thoughts with bar leaders across the world on the changes that are taking place within the legal profession in the age of pandemic and beyond and highlighted how Hong Kong solicitors can benefit from the vigorous development of Greater Bay Area at the Forum.
The participating bar leaders had a fruitful exchange of knowledge and experience at the Forum.
