The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

On the occasion of the Opening of the Legal Year 2022 in Singapore, the Law Society of Singapore hosted a Presidents’ Roundtable virtually on 10 January 2022.
Under the theme “The Future of the Profession Post-Pandemic: Challenges and Opportunities”, President C. M. Chan shared with bar leaders from various jurisdictions the measures that the HKSAR Government and the Law Society carried out for the Hong Kong’s legal profession in response to the pandemic, including but not limited to the LawTech Fund, COVID-19 Online Dispute Resolution Scheme and Hong Kong Legal Cloud, at the Roundtable.
President and bar leaders from around the globe exchanged invaluable opinions on topics with significant importance to the legal industry.
