The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

The Law Society is pleased to have signed a memorandum of understanding (“MOU”) with California Lawyers Association (“CLA”) on 30 July 2021. After the virtual signing ceremony, Vice-President Amirali Nasir, accompanied by members of the International Legal Affairs Committee, had a very fruitful meeting with the International Law and Immigration Section of CLA to discuss the possible future collaboration.
The MOU signifies the start of a long-term friendship between the two professional organisations. The Law Society looks forward to fostering a closer relationship and creating more opportunities for professional exchanges among our respective members.
