The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Jointly organised by LAWASIA, Commonwealth Lawyers Association, Law Council of Australia and the South Pacific Lawyers Association, the Constitutional & Rule of Law Webinar Series (“the Series”) themed “Formation & Succession in Parliamentary Governments: The Role of the Legislature, Executive & Judiciary” was successfully held from 18 February to 11 March 2021.
The Series opened on 18 February 2021 with its Opening Ceremony and inaugural webinar on “Rule of Law in Governance: Public Sector Corruption”. President Melissa Pang was invited to join the speaker panel to introduce the anti-corruption regime in Hong Kong. She also shared the important factors behind Hong Kong’s success in the anti-corruption work, including the rule of law, anti-corruption laws and Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption.
