The Law Society of Hong Kong held its Annual General Meeting today (19 May 2014). In accordance with the Society’s Articles of Association, the five longest serving members, namely Mr. Denis Brock, Mr. Peter C.L. Lo, Mr. Billy W.Y. Ma, Ms Melissa K. Pang and Mr. Dieter Yih, retired from the Council and offered themselves for re-election. As the number of candidates was the same as the number of vacancies, all of the five members were deemed re-elected in accordance with the Articles.

The new Council (see the list below) held its first meeting immediately after the Annual General Meeting to elect the President and Vice Presidents. Mr Ambrose Lam was re-elected President and Mr Stephen Hung and Mr Thomas So were re-elected Vice Presidents.
